No. If the line is busy or doesn’t answer, we try again automatically, up to 3 attempts in all. If the fax still fails, the pages go back to your balance (or your plan allowance) and we email you the reason in plain language, such as “the line was busy every time we tried” or “that number isn’t in service”.

Pages come back as pages, not money. For a money refund on an App Store purchase, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

• Each page you send costs 10¢, or 20¢ encrypted. You buy pages in packs: 10 for $0.99, 50 for $3.99, 200 for $11.99.
• An encrypted page uses 2 pages from your balance.
• Pages never expire. The app shows the cost before you send.
• On Keep a number, your first 100 pages a month (in or out) are included, then 5¢ a page. On Unlimited, sending and receiving are included up to fair use of 1,500 pages a month.

Plans are billed by Apple, so you cancel them in your Apple ID settings:

1. On your iPhone, open Settings and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions, then Faxwell.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your plan renews. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

In the app, go to Settings › Delete account. Or email support@sendfaxwell.com from your account’s email address and we will do it for you.

If you have a monthly plan, cancel it in your Apple ID settings first; deleting your account doesn’t stop Apple from billing you. Unused pages are lost when the account is deleted. See the Privacy Policy for what we delete and when.

You need a fax number. In the app, choose one of these:

• Receive for a week: $2.99 once, a number for 7 days, up to 100 incoming pages.
• Keep a number: $4.99 a month, 100 pages a month in or out, then 5¢ a page.
• Unlimited: $12.99 a month, with unlimited sending and receiving (fair use 1,500 pages a month).

Incoming faxes show up in the app and arrive as a PDF in your email. We never turn away a fax sent to you, even if your pages run out.

When your plan ends, the number is released and you can’t get the same one back. For your privacy it is quarantined for at least 30 days, with calls rejected, before anyone else can get it.

Not yet. Faxwell sends to fax numbers in the US and Canada.

Your fax travels to our network over encrypted connections, is stored encrypted, and our copy is deleted right after delivery. Our fax carrier keeps no copy. The last leg to the recipient’s fax machine runs over the ordinary phone network, as with every fax, so it isn’t end-to-end encrypted.
