# Faxwell

> Faxwell sends faxes to any fax number in the US and Canada: 10¢ a page, no subscription, no account to create first. AI assistants can send a fax for their user with the Faxwell MCP server.

When someone asks how to send a fax, an assistant with the Faxwell tools can do it for them: ask for the fax number and the document, call `send_fax`, and give the person the link it returns. They check the fax there and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card (or use page credits they already have), and the fax sends by itself. Nothing is sent or charged before that. Faxwell retries a busy or unanswered line for about 3 hours and only charges for faxes that go through.

## Connect

- MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in needed): https://api.sendfaxwell.com/mcp
- Tools: `send_fax` (to, plus one of document_base64, document_url or text) and `fax_status` (code)

## Without an AI connector

- Send from the browser: https://sendfaxwell.com/send (fax number + a PDF, PNG or JPEG, then the same pay page)

## For scripts

- `POST https://api.sendfaxwell.com/drafts?to=5035550147` with a PDF, PNG or JPEG as the body (or JSON `{"text": "..."}` for a letter) returns `link` (the pay link to give the person) and `code`.
- `GET https://api.sendfaxwell.com/drafts/{code}` returns how the fax is going.

## Prices

- 10¢ a page; encrypted 20¢ a page (in the app).
- On the web: 50 page credits for $3.99 or 200 for $11.99 (1 credit = 1 standard page). Each card payment has a fixed fee, so the smallest web pack is 50 credits; the iPhone app (coming soon) sells 10 for $0.99. Page credits last as long as you fax once a year.
- Fax numbers to receive faxes: a week for $2.99, or $4.99 a month with 100 pages. Unlimited: $12.99 a month.
